How long for delivery?
As the Number One Mobile Phone Dealer on the Net, we hold huge quantities of phones and accessories in stock. Although it sounds like blowing our own trumpet, we often do sell more phones in a day than most Internet Dealers sell in a Month!!The vast majority of orders placed before 5pm Monday to Friday are delivered the very next day before 12 noon. There are, of course, some exceptions to this rule:
- Orange Phones: When you place your order, you are clearly advised if proofs of id are required - phones cannot be despatched until this criteria is met.
- T-Mobile Phones: All T-Mobile contract phones require proofs of id before we can even begin to process your order.
- Pre-pay Products: Unfortunately, due to continued attempts to obtain prepay products fraudulently, we now authorise all payments with the card issuer. Switch and Amex are authorised immediately but Visa / Mastercard can take up to 6 hours - sadly this is out of our control.
How can your prices be so cheap?
Back in 1995, Mobiles, Watford were the first to launch a Mobile Phone Web Site in the UK. Since then we have capitalised on our head start and grown to be the Number 1 Mobile Phone Dealer on the Net. We are one of only a handful of dealers in the country that are both an Orange Approved Direct Dealer and an authorised Club Nokia Service Centre.Quite simply our initial success has had a snowball effect - by selling more we were able to obtain better volume discounts when buying stock, this enabled us to lower our prices even more which led to more sales which led to even better buying power and so on...
Can I buy one of your free phones and use it for pay as you go?
No, as clearly stated on the relevant pages, all free phones are subject to connection and status. I.e. these phones require a credit check and a minimum 12 month contract. Pay as you go phones are available to order from their own Pre-Pay page.Can I buy from abroad?
Generally, yes for accessories but no for phones.With international orders we do, of course, have to make further checks with the card issuer but generally goods are despatched within 24 hours. Delivery time is subject to many variables but usually is within 5 - 7 working days at a nominal cost of around 5 ukp extra. We can offer FedEx 48 hour delivery if required but this costs approximately an extra 30 ukp.
The vast majority of phones we sell are only for sale to UK residents. Any phones that are available for export to other countries are clearly marked as such.
Are you VAT registered?
Yes, of course! With a multi-million pound turnover, we have no choice.Our VAT registration number is GB 662 8753 03.
Are you registered under the Data Protection Act?
Yes, of course! Especially when taking phone orders, we are often given personal information about our customers. Because we are registered under the Data Protection Act, our customer can give us that information in complete confidence, knowing that we abide by strict rules and regulations. Why anyone would give out personal details to a company that wasn't registered under the Data Protection Act is beyond us.Do you have retail premises?
Yes, we currently have a retail shop in Hemel Hempstead and our main offices in Central Watford.
We freely advertise our address so that you can order in complete confidence knowing that in the extremely unlikely event of anything going wrong, you can visit us in person. We don't hide behind a PO Box or faceless industrial unit unlike some companies.
Are you approved phone dealers?
Yes, of course! We are an Orange Approved Direct Dealer, 3 Direct Dealer, O2 Approved Direct Dealer and an Authorised Vodafone and T-Mobile Stockist. All of our stock is direct from the Network Providers - we do not use any third party Service Providers. This means that you can order in confidence knowing that you will receive the full benefits of being an Orange or T-Mobile customer and will be billed directly by Orange, 3, Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile for your monthly charges.
