Music Player
The Sony Ericsson C702 has a built in music player so you can carry your tunes with you, in your pocket, and listen to them when you want. Most digital formats are recognised on the phone, including MP3 and AAC.
Java
Java is often a forgotten feature on many phones, and is probably used in many ways without you even realising. If you play games on your phone, it’s likely they are java apps. But java is so much more than games. It allows you to add extra functionality to your handset by installing third party apps to the phone. Add email functionality with Gmail, add a web browser from Opera Mini, add a business directory with Yell.com or keep an eye on a new purchase on Ebay.
Stereo FM Radio
With a Stereo FM Radio built in, you will always have access to the latest tunes on your Orange Sony C702 cybershot. Tune in to your favourite station, whenever you want, straight from your phone
Bluetooth 2.0
Bluetooth 2.0 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.
HSDPA
HSDPA on the Sony Ericsson C702 on Orange offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset. HSDPA is commonly known as Mobile Broadband
The Sony Ericsson C702 is a splash and dust resistant Cybershot mobile phone. Designed to be used one handed, with the c702 you can take pictures from any angle, in any weather. The C702 supports Geotagging, so when you take a picture, information about where you are is added to the image. Share this instantly – send to a blog or send a picture message. With the cybershot in hand you won't get lost as the phone comes with built-in A-GPS. Using Google Maps Mobile you can let your phone guide you to your destination.
JL - Devon-07/08/2008 I would like to say that when i first received my Sony Ericsson C702 i was very impressed with the quality of the camera and the way the auto focus on the characters faces was enhanced. I like the dust free nature of the phone which is rare on phones nowadays but is essential for the work i do and the ease of the buttons is surprising due to how small they are.
HE - Clwyd-06/08/2008 Mobiles.co.uk are fast and efficient. The C702 is an excellent phone, packed with features, inc. satnav and cybershot camera. It's dustproof and splashproof, though I wouldn't want to test to extremes. It's not perfect though; if you like to text a lot, you'll find the keys a little on the small side and the camera only has led light rather than a proper flash. My personal rating would be 8/10.
RC - County Durham-28/07/2008 I recently bought the new Sony Ericsson C702 from Mobiles.co.uk. The phone is ideal for my outdoor lifestyle being shock proof and splash proof. Battery life is excellent and it also has a very bright built in torch and GPS. The 3.2 mega pixel camera is great too. My only quibble is that the answering and cancelling buttons are a bit small and fiddly. Overall though, it was worth the wait for the C702 to come out. There is no other phone that offers such a complete package for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors and it shrugs off all the elements that would quickly see the end of lesser trendy phones.
AY - Kent-24/07/2008 I am very happy about my new phone, it has loads of new functions for me to play around with.
SH - Bolton-23/07/2008 The C702 is a compact phone with a very good cybershot camera. However the best feature in it is actually the GPS navigation system. There are two systems in the mobile. One is the google maps direction finder and also it find your location to an average of 90 meters but this does not give you voice directions just a map route and a summary of directions. The second GPS system in it is via wayfinder. This is just like a normal sat nav with voice directions. However important to note is that this is free for only 3 months and then you have to procure the package from wayfinder for £69 which includes Europe. The only other alternative you have is your network provider which will be probably more expensive. The really most disadvantageous point in the phone is the battery life is not to good especially when on 3G connection, it will only last 48 hours.
TM - Leeds-22/07/2008 Bought the C702 as a replacement for a K800i - SEs just "feel" better. Could have gone for the C902 but the added splashproof / dustproof element was too good to turn down (and the camera on the C902 didn't feel too robust). Not overly keen on the buttons but I am getting used to them! All in all a great phone with a few minor gripes. Would recommend to all fans of SE phones, especially if you are a bit on the clumsy side.
DY - Derbyshire-18/07/2008 The C702 is good looking phone, well built with a quality feel. The camera flash is a LED and isn't as good as the K800i. The GPS is an expensive gimmick, due to the fact that the maps are not pre-loaded, you have to connect with the internet which, depending on your contract, could prove costly. If you want a phone & a decent camera go for the C902. I will next time!
