New Orange Tariff Information

Animal Tariffs launched from 1st April 2006

From the 1 August 2006 customers will join Orange pay monthly via one of four segmented propositions. Each of which include a range of inclusive benefits as part of the monthly access fee. The tariffs will be called by the segment name and then the value of the plan e.g. Dolphin £19.

In addition to 12 month contracts on these tariff we will also, for the first time, be launching 18 month contracts. Customers signing up to an 18 month contract will receive a number of benefits including Magic Numbers as detailed below.

Business users connecting a single handset to a Business Plus tariff will receive unlimited Free Orange to Orange calls for 6 months. There are no peak/off-peak limits to these on-net calls and at the end of the promotional period an optional £10/month bundle will be available to continue with the free Orange to Orange calls. Orange will remind you of this option at the appropriate time.

Dolphin - for people who like to text a lot

Magic Numbers

Call your friends for an hour - don't pay for more than a minute.

Nominate one Orange mobile number as a Magic Number on receipt of your new Orange phone and add additional ones every 6 months. For up to an hour of call to these numbers you'll only pay for one minute or use up one minute of your inclusive minutes.

Magic Numbers are only available with 18 month contracts.

Unless otherwise stated all prices include VAT and charges are per month. Calls are charged by the second. Customers can change to a different talk plan (group talk plans cannot change for minimum 3 months) subject to Orange's new "Drop Down" rules at no charge * simply by giving 10 days notice before the next billing period. All Orange phones are subject to connection to the Orange Network, payment by Direct Debit and a deposit may be required. Payment by non-Direct Debit will incur a monthly £3 charge.

Competitor's Tariffs

If you are comparing against a competitor's tariff then take a look at the Orange Value Promise where Orange will match many popular tariffs. Rollover is also now available, so you'll never again waste any minutes.

Free Connection

Orange have extended their Free Connection offer until further notice on all tariffs except OVP tariffs where the equivalent competitor's tariff has a connection fee.

Upgrade Keep Number

Depending on your existing monthly Orange bill per handset and how long you have had your existing handset for, an additional charge may be payable on your next Orange bill.

Changing plan

* Many handsets have prices dependent on connecting to a particular tariff; generally committing to a higher tariff will mean a lower initial price for the handset. Should you switch to a lower tariff after purchasing a handset then the Network may take back some of the commission paid to us.

We reserve the right to charge your card with the difference between the price you paid and the price of the handset on the lower tariff at the time of connection if you switch to a lower tariff within four months of connection.
