Brilliant HD
The HD video recording feature enables you to capture precious moments in HD (720p) quality and enjoy HD content on HD TV via DLNA technology. The 16: 9 screen of QHD display with 16M colour and dual stereo speaker reveal a whole new world of mobile multimedia experiences on the move, enabling users to enjoy SD (Standard Definition) /HD (High Definition) videos in cinema-scale quality with caption.
8.0 Megapixel Camera
Thanks to a built in 8.0 megapixel camera with auto focus, face and smile detection and a powerful flash, the Samsung i8910 HD takes quality pictures that you will want to share with your friends. Store them in your phone, email them to friends or upload them to your blog.
Full Touch Screen
The i8910 Omnia HD has a 3.7 inch OLED touch screen running on a touch sensitive version of the Symbian operating system. The Omnia HD features an accelerometer which automatically rotates the screen to mach the orientation in which it's being held and a proximity sensor which switches the screen to standby when you are on a call.
HSDPA
HSDPA offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset. HSDPA is often referred to as Mobile Broadband.
Wi-Fi
With Wi-Fi you can use your Samsung phone on Orange to connect to a local wireless network (W-LAN) to connect to the internet. This offers a cheap (sometimes free) method of connecting to the net to download emails, files, or check on your favourite website.
GPS
With built in GPS you can use the Samsung i8910 HD to locate your position, plan your journey, and as a general Sat Nav device, when used in conjunction with compatible mapping software.
A-GPS
A-GPS is a network service that can locate your position to within 100 metres by using a clever technique called triangulation. By sending a signal to three cell masts, A-GPS will work out your location by the location of the cells and your distance from them. When combined with a GPS enabled mobile phone, the addition of A-GPS enables a faster GPS satellite lock.
Bluetooth 2.0
Bluetooth 2.0 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.
Java
Java is often a forgotten feature on many phones, and is probably used in many ways without you even realising. If you play games on your phone, it's likely they are java apps. But java is so much more than games. It allows you to add extra functionality to your handset by installing third party apps to the phone. Add email functionality with Gmail, add a web browser from Opera Mini, add a business directory with Yell.com or keep an eye on a new purchase on Ebay.
Music Player
With a built in music player, you can carry your tunes with you, in your pocket, and listen to them when you want. Most digital formats are recognised on the phone, including MP3 and AAC.
Web Browser
With a built in Web Browser you can access internet sites directly from your handset. Check the latest scores, look up train times, get a weather report, or find the answer to the question in the pub quiz. With the inbuilt web browser you have the power of the internet with you, wherever you are.

The i8910 HD also includes an 8.0 Megapixel camera with face and smile detection, 8GB internal memory plus a memory card slot, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity for high speed web browsing and GPS with A-GPS for an even quicker lock on your location.
KD - London-28/05/2009 It is superb. I have been using the Nokia N95 8GB, so this is the ideal upgrade, as it uses the latest symbian operating system along with Samsungs touchy feely Touchwiz interface. In every other way this phone is an astounding leap forward as far as features are concerned. The user interface is easily a match for ANY touch phone. Extremely responsive and a joy to use. Texting, typing and navigating around the phone is simply child’s play. This my first touch phone, although I had tried out others on the market and this ROCKS!!! The camera is a step up too....again it's easy to use and the results are great. Does what it is supposed to giving impressive results. Video recording, WOW!!!! HD capture and playback!!!!!! This is truly the next generation stuff. Build quality, tough as bricks....whatever issues those technology sites may have had with pre-production models have been addressed and sorted. Yeh, some might say it's a big phone but it feels great in the hand and with a 3.7 inch screen and all the extras you'd be hard pushed to get all this into a more compact model...maybe in a year or two :) All in all this a lovely piece of kit. You can keep your iPhones, Arena's and whatever else gets thrown at you. For now this is THE most complete phone to own, but that’s just my opinion.
DM - Watford-27/03/2009 The reason for the uncompromising size of the Omnia HD all becomes clear when you switch on the phone. The screen ... provides a truly stunning visual experience ... everything is crisp and vivid and at times you feel like you could reach out and grab what's on screen. Full Omnia HD review here
