HSDPA

HSDPA on the 3 USB Stick Modem offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset. HSDPA is commonly known as Mobile Broadband.

3G

3G stands for third generation, and the system is the third generation in the evolution of phone networks, after analogue and GSM. 3G offers high speed data transfers and the ability to make video calls between compatible handsets.

GPRS

GPRS is a packet data service that allows you to browse the internet and send emails on the 3 USB Modem at faster speeds then you will achieve on a standard dial up connection. GPRS is charged by the amount of data sent in a session, rather than the length of time of connection.

EDGE

The EDGE system is an upgrade to GPRS, and works on a similar basis to GPRS. The major benefit is an increase in the speed that data is transmitted.

Three USB Stick Modem

The new 3 USB Modem offers the simplest way to access the internet on the move, any time you need it. Smaller than any other USB modem currently available, simply plug the modem into your laptop and start browsing.
