LiMo OS
The Vodafone 360 H1, co-developed by Samsung, runs on the open source Linux Mobile (or LiMo) operating system. LiMo allows users to create new applications, download apps and customise the user interface of the phone.
Vodafone 360
The Vodafone 360 H1 is the first phone to support Vodafone 360, a new applications service that integrates a host of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter and a new store of downloadable applications that lets you enhance your phone by adding new apps. Whether it's games, navigation apps or news feeds, Vodafone 360 has the apps to meet everyones needs.
3.2 inch AMOLED Touchsceen!
The Vodafone 360 H1 features a 3.2 inch AMOLED Touchscreen display offering a sharp vibrant picture whilst at the same time benfitting from a slimmer construction and better battery life than traditional TFT displays. Capable of displaying up to 16m colours on screen, photos and movies look fantastic on the 360 H1. The Samsung developed phone even features a built in accelerometer to rotate the screen.
5.0 Megapixel Camera
Including a built in 5.0 megapixel camera with auto focus and an LED flash. the Vodafone H1 takes quality pictures that you will want to share with your friends. Store them in your phone, email them to friends or upload them to your blog.
HSDPA
HSDPA offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset. HSDPA is often referred to as Mobile Broadband.
Wi-Fi
With Wi-Fi you can use your Samsung phone on Vodafone to connect to a local wireless network (W-LAN) to connect to the internet. This offers a cheap (sometimes free) method of connecting to the net to download emails, files, or check on your favourite website.
GPS
With built in GPS you can use the Samsung H1 to locate your position, plan your journey, and as a general Sat Nav device, when used in conjunction with compatible mapping software.
A-GPS
A-GPS is a network service that can locate your position to within 100 metres by using a clever technique called triangulation. By sending a signal to three cell masts, A-GPS will work out your location by the location of the cells and your distance from them. When combined with a GPS enabled mobile phone, the addition of A-GPS enables a faster GPS satellite lock.
Bluetooth 2.0
Bluetooth 2.0 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.
Java
Java is often a forgotten feature on many phones, and is probably used in many ways without you even realising. If you play games on your phone, it's likely they are java apps. But java is so much more than games. It allows you to add extra functionality to your handset by installing third party apps to the phone. Add email functionality with Gmail, add a web browser from Opera Mini, add a business directory with Yell.com or keep an eye on a new purchase on Ebay.
Music Player
With a built in music player, you can carry your tunes with you, in your pocket, and listen to them when you want. Most digital formats are recognised on the phone, including MP3 and AAC.
Web Browser
With a built in Web Browser you can access internet sites directly from your handset. Check the latest scores, look up train times, get a weather report, or find the answer to the question in the pub quiz. With the inbuilt web browser you have the power of the internet with you, wherever you are.
The Vodafone 360 H1 brings your online life to your mobile. Developed by Samsung, the 360 H1 runs on the LiMo operating system letting you download apps from the Vodafone 360 applications service. SW - Eastbourne-26/01/2010 The Samsung H1 is definitely one of the top phones on the market at the moment its features etc are very similar to the iPhone but for me having had the iPhone already, if i had the choice between the two i would pick the Samsung h1 for all of its features. And the set up of the phone is also easy using vodafone 360 it does most of the work for you which is great and the using the phone is very simple especially texting as you have the choice between the standard keypad on all phones or qwerty. All in all very happy with my purchase and would recommend this phone to anyone.
