Based on the popular 7250i, the Vodafone Nokia 6220 includes new business productivity tools such as a built in email client, presence enhanced contacts (another way of keeping in touch with your colleagues) and EDGE support for higher speed data transfer (when supported by the network).

Built-in Digital Camera

The new Vodafone Nokia 6220 is not only a phone - it's also an integrated digital imaging device. Point, use the colour display as a viewfinder, snap a picture, and share the moment. An image editor enables you to add text, frames and clip-art images. The handset also offers what Nokia calls "Portrait image caller ID". This means you have the option of seeing a pre-set picture of the person who's calling you.

A Design Classic

The Vodafone Nokia 6220 is the latest advance of Nokia's business orientated phones, so it has a more subtle and classic design. However, Xpress-On covers are available so you can still personalise how your phone looks by changing the outer casing.

The Vodafone Nokia 6220 uses the new ring tone technology called "polyphonic". This can produce a high quality ring tone that sounds closer to an original CD, sound or tune than ever before.

Its obvious that a great deal of research has gone into making the most of the amazing sound quality as the phone's speaker also has to be the best ever found on a mobile phone. The clarity and loudness of the sound at full volume simply defies belief.

GPRS & EDGE

As the Vodafone Nokia 6220 supports GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), you will be able to take advantage of this virtually permanent data connection, and you will only be charged for the amount of data that you transfer, and not the amount of time that you're online. It is also the first phone available with EDGE support, which as an upgrade to GPRS networks allows significantly faster data transfer. (As yet no UK's networks support this).

Email

The preinstalled java email client allows you to send and receive emails using just your phone. It is compatible with any POP3 email account.

Mobile Internet

Incorporating the latest WAP 2.0 browser technology for mobile internet, you can use WAP to access a range of information from the Internet, via your mobile, including news, travel and information. The X-HTML browser is capable of displaying richer more interesting content than just a normal WAP browser can.

Pop-Port^TM Interface..

The Vodafone Nokia 6220 mobile phone includes the new Pop-Port accessory interface connector. This new feature will be a primary interface connector in future Nokia phones and already there is a huge range of compatible accessories including modular car-kits, which assists with future compatibility.

It has been designed to support new advanced functionalities such as, stereo audio or fast data connectivity, and digital accessory identification. Pop-Port will radically expand the choice of ground-breaking and interesting accessories for the Vodafone Nokia 6220.

FM radio
