Premium digital camera features such as a Xenon Flash, Autofocus, Face detection and Smile detection all help to produce stunning photography whatever the conditions. Sony Ericsson have also combined the touchscreen interface to offer unique features such as touch focus which allows users to focus certain areas in the viewfinder.

Navigate with ease using your fingers and rotate the screen using the built in accelerometer. Running an all new touch based version of the Symbian operating system promises to give a fluent and intuitive touch screen experience.
HSDPA
HSDPA offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset. HSDPA is often referred to as Mobile Broadband.
Wi-Fi
With Wi-Fi you can use your Sony Ericsson phone on Vodafone to connect to a local wireless network (W-LAN) to connect to the internet. This offers a cheap (sometimes free) method of connecting to the net to download emails, files, or check on your favourite website.
GPS
With built in GPS you can use the Idou to locate your position, plan your journey, and as a general Sat Nav device, when used in conjunction with compatible mapping software.
A-GPS
A-GPS is a network service that can locate your position to within 100 metres by using a clever technique called triangulation. By sending a signal to three cell masts, A-GPS will work out your location by the location of the cells and your distance from them. When combined with a GPS enabled mobile phone, the addition of A-GPS enables a faster GPS satellite lock.
Music Player
With a built in music player, you can carry your tunes with you, in your pocket, and listen to them when you want. Most digital formats are recognised on the phone, including MP3 and AAC.
Stereo FM Radio
With a Stereo FM Radio built in to the Vodafone Sony Ericsson Satio, you will always have access to the latest tunes on your phone. Tune in to your favourite station, whenever you want, straight from your phone.
Web Browser
With a built in Web Browser you can access internet sites directly from your handset. Check the latest scores, look up train times, get a weather report, or find the answer to the question in the pub quiz. With the inbuilt web browser you have the power of the internet with you, wherever you are.
Bluetooth 2.0
Bluetooth 2.0 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.

PS - Londonderry N Ireland-14/04/2010 This is my first touchscreen phone and I absolutely adore it. Make no mistake; it's a big phone and the size might put some people off but I love it. Hate these tiny phones where you need a magnifying glass to read your text messages. The first thing you notice when you take it out of the box is the build quality, it is outstanding. Secondly; it is so easy to use, that even an old boy like me had no problems finding his way round it. Inside a day I knew how to use all the different applications. The 12.1 megapixel camera is simply superb and takes images that are as good if not better than my Sanyo digital camera. Transferring the images from phone to PC is so easy via the USB cable supplied. I do a lot of texting and with the Satio it doesn't get any better. You have a choice of three keyboards and it's a pleasure to use. Also had the MP3 player loaded and playing inside a few hours and the earphones are very good quality. The radio is also a feature that I like and will be using in the future. Haven't surfed the net very much but so far haven't had any problems with it. All in all it's a beautiful looking phone, has lots of features and is so easy to use. Only drawback is the battery life but that's a small price to pay for all the entertainment one gets out of it. I will recommend this phone to anybody !!!
NK - Gloucestershire-11/02/2010 I have to say I really like this phone; the camera is amazing and the results are fab. The only thing I would like to be improved is the touch screen. It's not as sensitive as the iPhone and is a little hard to text with. This is the only negative point I have about the phone. Overall it's a brilliant phone.
JJ - Kent-10/02/2010 Not only did I get a great deal and fantastic free Nintendo Wii plus Wii Sport, I got an amazing phone in the form of the Sony Ericsson Satio - 12.1 megapixel camera. A camera of that spec is about £200 from Sony .A very easy phone to use, very large virtual dialer great for the short sighted - makes texting easy. Connect to your home internet or any other with Wi-Fi connection. Voice command speed dialing, easy touch screen, Overall a great stylish phone suitable for all ages.
HN - --09/02/2010 Fantastic phone, get one! The quality of the camera is amazing and really easy to use the different settings. The touch screen takes a little getting used to but you quickly get the hang of it - also its great that you can still use the same keys format for texting either having a qwerty keyboard or a numbers one. I've always had Sony Ericsson phones so the new OS is tricky trying to find things! The films you can download for it are good quality images but the films are quite poor - I thought there might have been something I'd heard of. You can use Google maps on it which is fantastic and very accurate (it new I'd moved when I went from one side of the room to the other!) which is great because I do a lot of walking. I think with this phone to get the best out of it you really need internet access as part of your contract or it could work out really expensive - also with the games and apps being about £5 a pop you really need to watch what your doing or you could spend a fortune!
MS - Torbay-05/01/2010 This phone is amazing!! The camera is amazing, everything is top-notch. It takes a bit of time to get used to I thought, but maybe thats just me, but now that I'm comfortable with it, i cant get enough of it!!
MM - Hampshire-16/12/2009 This phone is absolutely amazing and the camera is out if this world. To top it off this is the second phone contract we have had from mobiles.co.uk and they are also equally amazing. I recommend them to everyone and they always have the best deals and offers. My partners phone will be due for renewal next year and we cant wait to get another great deal.
FL - London-27/11/2009 Fantastic phone, got all features, camera is excellent. Touchscreen is very good! Very fast phone and worth to the price..I rate 10 out of 10..
CS - Glasgow-16/11/2009 I actually got this phone the week before release and I must say it is a stunning piece of kit. Touch screen is fantastic compared to the slow fiddly Omnia I once had. The software that comes with the phone is also amazing and can be updated online. I have taken some spectacular pictures just how truly AMAZING the camera is cannot be explained in words alone! The reason I am writing this review on here is I previously have bought phones from this company and they are one of the friendliest phone companies I have dealt with.
MH - Pontefract, UK-12/11/2009 I received my Satio the other week and firstly, I'll say it's a fantastic piece of tech (as said in the other reviews). The touchscreen is as responsive as you would expect from a high end handset nowadays (not as responsive or as nice as iPhone though) and has a snazzy looking interface that can easily be personalised. The camera is amazing and the best feature of the phone with some nifty options such as panoramic, allowing you to snap pics within 3 shots and then see them blended together to form one big picture. It has a built in GPS receiver along with WisePilot Sat Nav which does the job and of course theres Google maps that utilizes your GPS location and gives you endless info of local amenities. I do however have a few gripes...There are a limited number of app's available to download with it being a new phone. If you're a keen Facebook/Twitter user then at this present day and from what I read on the net, you can only use the app that comes with the phone (snaptu) to access them (except direct via web browsing). There is a messengerLive app available you can get for free online which does the job but isn't the best looking to be totally honest.I know this next shouldn't really be mentioned as I'm sure it will be rectified and identified as a manufacture fault or firmware upgrade required but I am feeling annoyed/frustrated that the handset I received was faulty with the camera freezing almost every time it was used resulting in battery removal to get the device working again. I'm guessing mine was one of the bad batch that was rushed to the shops to get the handset released in time for Christmas. :( I also have issues signing into any of the windows Hotmail, eBay, Facebook sites via the internet browser when accessing from both Wi-Fi and 3G connections. Not sure if it's a known fault but never the less its an issue with my handset. I'm in the process of returning my handset and am in two minds whether or not to to get the new iPhone based on my experience, knowing that the iPhone is leader in the current market for this type of phone. It's difficult as the camera on the Satio is by far the best out there. So in a few words, if it's a camera you want as the main feature for you phone then this is your baby however if its web browsing, Facebook/Twittering you do the most then if I was you I would buy an iPhone. I hope I've helped you in your choice.
SH - Manchester-11/11/2009 I've had my Satio from mobiles.co.uk for about 2 weeks now and I can't tell you how impressed I am with everything the phone has to offer. Without doubt the 12 megapixel camera is its unique selling point, but also I was surprised at how easy it is to use and navigate through on the touchscreen, it's a pocket rocket of a phone, even connecting up to my computer and transferring photos and music is a doddle. I've always liked Sony Ericsson phones but considered others before deciding on the Satio, and always kept coming back to mobiles.co.uk as they seemed to always have the best deals, biggest choice, information and reviews on most phones. I would definitely recommend the phone and the site again.
TW - York-04/11/2009 I've Just Recently got this phone, It's great, easy to use. The 12MP camera is awesome, the screen is very responsive. Since the phone is low on internal memory the free 8GB memory card came in useful to store my music on. Overall I would rate it 8/10 the only disappointment for me was the home screen I wish it was more like the N97 so you see your facebook & e-mails etc all in one place.
IA - Peterborough-03/11/2009 I got my phone last week from mobiles.co.uk, thanks for great service. Phone looks great and camera is even better, screen resolution is amazing as well but the only down side with this phone is music playback as there is no equalizer so u can not adjust sound, otherwise it's an incredibly good phone.
JO - Oxford-19/10/2009 Lovely touchyfeely shiny black block of tech that feels lovely in the hand…if a little chunky in the pocket. The screen is bright and responsive to the touch (once reset to Sony defaults), video playback is smooth and web browsing is good (once Opera is installed). GPS is very fast if in sight of 4+ satellites. Camera is excellent - you can live without optical zoom at these kind of resolutions I think. I'm a happy bunny and my nieces think I'm very cool.
