Where can I get 5G on O2?
5G is already available on O2 in over 20 towns and cities throughout the UK. These include (but are not limited to) Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, London and Cardiff.
O2 has plans in place to have 5G operating successfully in over 50 different locations by the summer of 2020; Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Windsor and Warrington are just a few of the new locations which can expect coverage. How do I connect to 5G?
To enjoy all the benefits of O2’s 5G network, you need a 5G-ready handset, and 5G contract – plus you’ll need to be in an area where 5G is available.
Once you’ve got this sorted, connecting to 5G couldn’t be easier. When you’ve chosen your tariff, just switch on your new handset and pop your 5G SIM inside it – you can scroll, swipe and stream as much as you like.
Which 5G handsets can I buy on O2?
Both of these smartphones are celebrated for offering an immersive viewing experience; the Galaxy A90 has an impressive 6.7-inch display, and the Galaxy Note 10 measures in even bigger at 6.8-inches. Travelling with 5G on O2
5G roaming isn’t currently available with O2. If you have a 5G smartphone and SIM, and you go abroad, you’ll still be able to roam on the usual 3G and 4G networks, and get straight back onto 5G when you return home.
