Upgrading from the previous model from a 5.5-inch to a 6-inch display, the Pixel 2 XL gives you lots of screen, being very close to edge-to-edge display. With a pOLED Always-on display, QHD 2880 x 1440 resolution and 538 PPI you can really enjoy movies in stunning clarity, and videos in to the fullest potential.
On the screen you will immediately notice some changes with the search function now designed at the bottom of the screen, and cool features like the at-a-glance agenda widget, which gives you all the updates you need at your fingertips. With strong 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5, your phone will be protected from all the usual bumps and scratches of daily life.
Taking mobile photography one step further, the Google Pixel 2 XL will feature a 12.2MP rear camera, with f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilisation. Additionally the camera will have dual-pixel technology, which gets more out of each pixel, to give your images the quick autofocus and stunning quality.
Portrait mode is also a nice addition, which blurs the background and allows you to focus on the subject of the photo. 4k video also gives you the stunning quality to capture your favourite memories. On the front you will have an 8MP camera that will deliver amazing selfies and a high quality 1080p Front Camera Video.
Google Assistant has become radically helpful. Developed using 50 million voice samples, and with Voice Match should you allow it, it is able to recognise individuals through their tone of voice, and give help that is personalised to you.
Motion Photos are also added on the Google Pixel 2 XL, which takes a 3 second clip when taking a photo, and automatically takes out the unwanted bits of the small video, leaving you with the best possible shot possible. Google Photos is free for all users, which gives you additional storage space to make the most of the amazing camera.
Augmented reality is a key focus this year for Google, and on the Google Pixel 2 XL AR stickers have been added. You can add in emojis and live characters to your videos and pictures, to really bring your video and photo gallery to life.
