Introducing the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition
The Huawei P series is known for offering top specs at great prices, and the Lite handsets are the most affordable in the range. 2019 brought the Huawei P30 collection, and there's been an upgrade for 2020. Introducing the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition; the updated model based on the successful Huawei P30 Lite.
Let's see what's new with this updated Huawei smartphone below.
Huawei P30 Design and Display
The Huawei P30 Lite New Edition is all about that big screen experience. Virtually bezel-free, Huawei has added a 6.15-inch Full HD display onto the handset, which has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Its 3D curved glass means it can seamlessly integrate with the phone's sleek frame, and you'll always find yourself fully immersed in whatever you're watching, be it YouTube, sports or your favourite Netflix show.
The Huawei P30 Lite New Edition also has a TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification, and the phone's low blue light levels ensure even avid smartphone users aren't at risk of eye strain.
On the back you'll find a secure, responsive fingerprint scanner, conveniently placed in the centre of the device for ease of use. Huawei has chosen to add an audio jack to the handset as well, for those who prefer to use wired headphones.
Huawei P30 Camera
Huawei is a brand that's had notable recognition for its smartphone cameras, and the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition is no different. Crystal clear photos with refined details can be taken using both the rear and front-facing cameras, even in difficult conditions where light is hard to come by.
The 48MP AI Ultra Wide triple-lens camera, means even the smallest details can be caught just how you remember them. Made from a 48MP main lens, 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP telephoto lens, you'll have plenty of freedom with this smartphone camera. Experiment with background blur, take advantage of the device's 2x optical zoom lens and shoot more of your surroundings without limits thanks to a 120-degree field of view.
The 32MP front-facing camera is housed inside a small dewdrop-shaped notch. With a large aperture you can take photos with friends at night without having to worry about quality.
As for additional features, both the front and back cameras are enhanced with AI scene recognition. Choose from 8 categories on the front, and 22 categories for the rear camera. Colour, light and contrast levels are all automatically adjusted to suit your environment, and you can choose from dedicated settings for night-time, snow, fireworks and even for snapping photos of your pets.
Huawei P30 Power
Just like Huawei's other devices, the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition runs on EMUI 9.1 - Huawei's own customised interface. Working alongside Android 9, it includes a plethora of unique Huawei features, as well as an easy-to-use layout. Updates that allow you to upgrade the device to EMUI 10 will also be available in early 2020.
Powering the Huawei P30 New Edition is 6GB RAM (2GB more than the previous model), and an octa-core Kirin 710 processor. This processor not only helps the phone to run smoothly, but it's designed to help you get the most of out every charge and improve efficiency too.
Huawei P30 Battery
Speaking of batteries, the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition has the same battery as its predecessor; a sizeable 3,340 mAh cell. Supporting the device and providing day-long power, you'll be happy to hear you'll be able to charge up in next to no time, thanks to Huawei's 9V2A Quick Charge technology.
