Wireless charging has been supported on Samsung phones since 2012, when the feature was launched on the Samsung Galaxy S3. It wasn’t until the S6 series, however, that Qi wireless charging was added; no need for dedicated accessories.

Samsung continued to develop its own method of wireless charging with faster speeds. Super-Fast Charging was introduced on the Galaxy S10 in 2019, bringing 25W charging speeds to Samsung smartphones.

  1. Open the Settings menu on your phone
  2. Scroll to the Battery section
  3. Open the Battery menu and look for any mention of wireless charging

How do I turn on wireless charging on my Samsung phone?

Wireless charging will typically be on by default, but if you’re unsure, follow these steps to find out. This might differ depending on your model:

  1. Open the Settings menu
  2. Scroll to the Battery section
  3. Look for the ‘More battery settings’ option and tap it
  4. Toggle the ‘Fast wireless charging’ option
    a. If you see ‘Super-Fast Wireless Charging’, toggle this for faster charging speeds
