Switch & Save

From the 1st of July, new legislation means that switching your mobile network provider will be as simple as sending a text message. Here’s how it works.

Reasons to Switch

Save money with a different tariff

Faster and easier to switch networks

Keep your number without hassle

No overlap where you have to pay for two contracts at once.

Process is the same across all networks

All you need to do is send PAC via a free text message to 65075. You’ll then receive a PAC (Port Authorisation Code) from the network provider you want to leave.

Alternatively, you can request your PAC by calling your current provider.

Once you have your PAC, just follow the steps below, according to which network you’re switching to.

  1. Contact O2 within 30 days by calling either 202 from your O2 handset, or 03448090202 from any other line, and give them your PAC.

  2. Alternatively, you can enter your PAC using this online form.
  1. Contact Vodafone within 30 days by calling either 191 from your Vodafone handset, or 03333040191 from any other line, and give them your PAC.

  1. Contact Virgin within 30 days by calling either 789 from your Virgin handset, or 08456000789 from any other line, and give them your PAC.

New contracts always come with a new number as standard, so you’ll just need to cancel your old contract and number.

All you need to do is send STAC via a free text message to 75075. You’ll then receive a STAC code from the network provider you want to leave, which is confirmation of cancelation.
