What is cashback?

Cashback is a type of offer available on selected deals across mobiles.co.uk. With a cashback deal you’ll pay the upfront cost and line rental as usual, but then receive cashback after your purchase has completed, once your cooling-off period has ended.

Most cashback deals are provided by us, meaning mobiles.co.uk will provide your cashback pay-out. In some cases, a network or manufacturer may run their own cashback incentive – in which case they will pay the cashback, and this will be clearly explained by the promotion.

Why types of cashback are available?

There are two main types of cashback available. The first is ‘automatic cashback’. When you purchase a deal with automatic cashback, you’ll get your cashback paid in one lump sum at the start of your contract. This will be sent by cheque after your cooling-off period.

The second type is ‘cashback by redemption’. This means your cashback total will be split into five equal totals, which you’ll need to claim by sending in your network bill on specified months. You can learn more by viewing the helpful video at the top of this page.

How do I claim cashback?

This depends on the type of cashback deal you’ve chosen. If your deal comes with automatic cashback, then you don’t need to claim. Once your cooling-off period has ended, just allow 38 working days for the cheque to be processed and received.

If you have selected a deal with cashback by redemption, you’ll need to claim this by sending your network bill to us at specified intervals in your contact. Your claim dates can be found in your My Account area, and you can read about how to submit your claims.

What other types of gifts are available?

As well as cashback deals, we also carry a range of contracts with free gifts. These can include electronic items such as TVs and tablets, or entertainment packages giving you subscription access to your favourite streaming services.

How do I know if my deal has cashback?

This information is visible next to the deal, letting you know both the line rental and the cashback total. You’ll also see the cashback listed in the basket as you proceed to the checkout. After purchase, cashback details can be viewed in your ‘My Account’ section.

How do I submit cashback claims?

If your deal includes cashback by redemption, you can upload your claims via your ‘My Account’ log-in area. Alternatively, you can post claims via recorded delivery to Mobiles.co.uk, PO Box 377, Southampton, SO30 2PY. Please remember to retain you proof of postage.

Is cashback paid in one lump sum?

This depends what type of cashback deal you choose. If you select automatic cashback, then it will be paid in a single lump sum, towards the start of your contract. With cashback by redemption, your cashback will be split into five equal claims over the course of your contract.
